我們的日守宮

目前有少數幾種
Phelsuma madagascariensis madagascariensis
Phelsuma lineata
Phelsuma standingi
Phelsuma quadriocellata
Phelsuma laticauda
還有一種P. klimmeri應該也已經被大量繁殖應寵物市場所需, 但目前我們並沒有在台灣見到這個種類(應該是孤陋寡聞的關係), 其它如P. cepediana或P. inexpectata就別說了

這個屬為什麼會很重要呢? (1) 可愛 & 漂亮 (2) 多數種類都因為棲地破壞而瀕危所以列入CITES (3) 以馬達加斯加為多樣性與分布中心, 但又有種類的分布遠達分屬印度與印尼的安達曼群島, 在生物地理的討論上自然有一定的地位. (4) 在Florida已經有幾種逃逸變成當地的外來物種. 以台灣什麼都以美國馬首是瞻的情況下, 只要隨口說說Phelsuma可能是potential invasive species, 相信牠變成某個COA某三年的明星物種題材是指日可待的.
